My thought process of making this necklace goes like this...

At first didn't want to secure every single quartz point on both sides of each stone because my first thought was that it was going to be so much cooler if the quartz points could slide along the chain. I thought giving it some movement would be more important than functional, but eventually I decided it would be more practical for wear if each point was secured.
